[23 Nov 2006|07:17pm]
I have decided to not post in this LJ for the time being.
It's been neglected ever since the start of my 2nd year of university.
Times are busy, hectic, and frustrating - but life in general, is going well.
I wish everyone the best and I'll return another day.
Delete me if you wish, or save me as a friend if you decide to move.
I just want everyone to know, that I haven't disappeared permanently.
Things are just...on hold for the time being.

The Byward marketplace is so fascinating in Ottawa. I could spend endless hours looking through trinkets and treasures along the sale stalls lined along the sidewalks. Merchants of many trades, artists, florists, and even street musicians sit at corners singing or playing their tunes as passerbys kindly leave a loonie or toonie. It's been awhile since I've seen raw talent, much more skillful than the already famous who call themselves musicians in the entertainment industry.

Downtown is not a downtown without its historical buildings, noise, and people snaking their ways through crowds. Aromas of different cuisines permeate through the air enticing the many sniffing noses. There's nothing like grabbing freshly baked bread still warm to the touch and drinking brewed ice tea in clear, plastic cups (not from the cans or bottles) rather than running to the fast food joints in Indy. That's just how I prefer a brunch or lunch. Snack time doesn't consist of junkfood here either.

I couldn't help but notice the fresh-cut flowers they were selling at the corners. I saw all these exotic flowers such as bird-of-paradise, gladiolas, colored daisies, and a golden sunflower. I would have bought myself a sunflower and frolicked through the market...I don't need a guy to buy me flowers as if it's obligatory for them. One single flower would make me a happy person and put a smile upon my face. Or maybe two as a pair? :)

I haven't had the time to update. It seems like after summer school's over that I've been packing, unpacking, packing, and unpacking as if it were part of my daily routine. Just a few days ago, I was in Las Vegas and now I'm leaving for Canada this Saturday. I don't have much time to write anything so I guess I'll update when I get back in a month or so. I will leave a trail of pictures from Las Vegas :)

Last Saturday I went with my guyfriends to Hot Import Nights, well we accidentally went in the backdoors so we didn't have to pay $25 each. I'm surprised there were no security guards at those doors. It's the first time I've actually been to one of these events and was I psyched or what. Of course there were many beautifully modded cars and the models in their little booths with barely any clothing on. Sometimes, I feel bad for them since they're begging people to buy their paraphenalia. Especially the ones who are less attractive get less business. That's how the world works I guess. Anyways, I know [info]skirrtflirt's been waiting for these pictures :) Not all of them are taken by me so that's why there are a few blurry ones.

Sometimes, I feel like I have no initiative to write anymore. I don't write as often about the thoughtful/philosophical ideas because I have less time to confine myself to those thoughts. I haven't been in the mood to pick up a camera and take pictures for awhile since nothing motivates me to.

But there is one thing I love. I love cars and artwork. This Saturday evening, I am hoping to go with my boyfriend and friends downtown to the convention center for Hot Import Nights and take pictures again. Since I don't have a camera with enough pixels, I will hopefully be borrowing my cousin's Digital Rebel XT, that same camera where my prom pictures a year ago came from. I'm quite excited since I haven't been to a large event for awhile since I had to pass up clubbing last weekend for a test.

Also, I'll be leaving the 23rd of this month for Las Vegas for a week and head up to Canada again for the summer. If I don't post again; have a great summer. I'll be back soon.

Busted! [23 Apr 2006|04:38pm]
I really could have been in jail last night.

Somebody in my friend's neighborhood called the cops on us for suspicious activity. Just when I was about to leave since it was around 1am, I walked out the door with my boyfriend and there shined a bright flashlight in our face. We totally got busted since she could smell the faint odor of tequila from my boyfriend and I happened to finish the last of the Hypnotiq. I wasn't the least bit drunk or anything, nor was he. Alcohol consumption is completely overrated. To make matter worse, I was underage and so were my 7 other friends inside. The police woman welcomed herself inside the house and gave us a stupid educational lecture on providing alcohol to minors and drinking. She made us empty gallons and cans of alcohol, up to $300 down the sink. Even unopened soda that had nothing wrong with it. We only use the alcohol for social drinking and birthday celebrations, since we always take one shot with the birthday person. Luckily, one of the people there (that we don't really like) didn't get searched for the possession of marijuana or we definitely would have been in trouble, eventhough all of us are not interested in pot and drugs. So instead of going home around 1am, she put us under house arrest until 6am in the morning eventhough we all left around 4am. Luckily, no criminal record was filed, or I would have been in BIG trouble.

Delish! [15 Mar 2006|09:40pm]
I had the urge to bake cupcakes from scratch this afternoon and they turned out pretty well, eventhough I couldn't find a piping bag at home to make the icing all swirly looking. Don't they just look scrumptuous?

Hello lovely LJers.
How have you been? I see that many of you have wonderful travel plans and new toys as in cameras :) As for me, my second semester of frosh year is beginning to wind down. I can't believe the school year is almost over in the blink of an eye. A year ago, I was still trying to decide where to go, what to study, and stressing about college life in general. When I began there my first day, I welcomed it with ease, not as a significant transition from high school. I've met many new and exciting people asides from the ones I used to know in high school. We've had our shares of wonderful house parties, mischevous moments, and full tummies from eating out together occasionally.

I'll be busy within the next month finishing up this semester and taking one month of summer school. See you soon. Miss ya!

Where'd I go, as you all wonder :) [05 Feb 2006|02:56pm]
I've been busy in school. Second semester is one tough cookie alright and I have my biology exam tomorrow, so why not go to a smashing birthday party last night? :)

One month and I'm doing well. I've been attending birthday parties almost every weekend and going crazy. Just last night, I borrowed my friend's ID since she's 23 to get into a nightclub since I'm one of the youngest and miss out on the fun. Now, there's an advantage of being asian because we all look alike and have almost the same haircut. lol. My my, I love to dance. Anyways, LJers, what's been up?

I'm updating :) [19 Nov 2005|07:20pm]
Thanksgiving break is approaching in less than a week. I'm ready to eat, eat, eat considering I've lost about 4 pounds ever since I started college. I thought you're suppose to become a freshman 15, but a freshman -4?

With the holiday season quickly approaching, shopping madness goes on in the malls. People are scattered about asking each other what they want for Christmas while others waste money and buy useless junk. I used to enjoy holiday shopping, but now...it seems like such a hassle. I went to the mall today and weaving through masses of people wasn't fun, not to mention finding a seat to enjoy coffee gets on your last nerve. I can't believe how rude some people are, thinking they're more important than you. I was sitting in front of a coffee place at a table with 2 extra chairs waiting for my parents. Suddenly, this lady sits herself on the chair right next to me at the table I was sitting at without even asking me, claiming that it was her table. So, I decided to whip out the cell phone and call random people to annoy her somehow instead of telling her to "move, please." There she is waiting while her husband is buying coffee for the both of them. He walks out, looks at me and says, "Excuse me. My wife was here first." Technically, they wanted me to move...and there was another table a foot away. His wife just sits there waiting for me to get up...until finally she points at the other table and moves. The entire time they were looking at me evily. Some people just need to mind their manners.

Other than that, university life is going well and the semester is ending soon. Finals begin in about three weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to pull off a decent GPA. Luckily, because of him, he makes my year fly by so much faster, which reminds me, our 1 year anniversary is coming up on Christmas. Now, isn't it coincidental that we "clicked" that day? I have no idea what to get him for Christmas/anniversary. Have any suggestions that are out of the ordinary? :)

I'm still alive, just that I don't have time to update since I've been going to school from 6:00am - 9:30pm. Plus, 16 credit hours are grueling with biology lab as well. I have to study for my first Chemistry 105 test tonight that I have to take tomorrow morning. Saturday exams, isn't it wonderful? I practically have no weekend since I work on Sunday afternoon as well. I'm booked. So, if you deleted me, no hurt feelings :)

My classes for this year as a freshman:
C105 - 2nd year chemistry lecture [8am-9:15am (T,Th)]
C105 - chemistry recitation [7:15pm-9:05pm (Th)]
K101 - 1st year biology lecture [9:30am-10:20am (M,T,W)]
K101 - bio lab [11am-1:50pm (F)]
K101 - bio recitation [11am-12:15pm (M)]

MATH221 - Technical calculus I [9:30am-10:45am (T,Th)]
FREN203 - 2nd year French [5:45pm-7:15pm (M,W)]

For those who are affected by hurricane Rita, I pray for you to be safe and your homes to be still intact.

University! [25 Aug 2005|11:17pm]
I'm a full time student now at my first year of university, so I'll have less time to comment and read LJ :( I'll still be reading, but I'll be commenting less. It's only the 2nd day that I've been I just wanted you to know now since my schedule is very hectic with Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, French, and another introductory science course. Eventhough I go to a commuter, my classes range from 8am - 9pm and the drive is 45 minutes away. By the time I get home I'm too exhausted and busy with my readings before the next day. Love you guys that still read :)

P.S. Sorry if I don't reply back to your comments on here eventhough I'd love to :(

ITB @ Raceway Park [20 Aug 2005|07:14pm]
I woke up at 10:15am to go with my car group to the huge Import and Truck Bash downtown. The weather today is definitely not suitable to be outdoors for too long, but I was out there in the blazing heat and humidity from noon to 6pm. My shoulders are a nice burnt brown color and I have major tan lines. There must have been over 400 cars there on display, but I got lazy taking pictures after about the 10th car. So I went with the ones that really stood out. Of course, you're waiting for the pictures :)

Car Show-off @ Omega Motorsports [16 Aug 2005|11:21pm]

Last Saturday, these fellas invited me to come along to their first car event. They even consider me as part of their team since I did design their logo and car decals for future shows. Plus, I was the DJ of the group with fresh tracks and music videos :) Anyways, we all specialize in something such as audio, design, engine, and electrical. Design, that's me! Considering it was his first competition, (the one in the blue shirt right next to me) he placed 1st in import car and audio system, 2nd in video, 3rd in best of show. I'm proud of all of them.

And inside his trunk... + )

[10 Aug 2005|02:11am]

Summer is beginning to wind down and school is just around the corner within matters of weeks. It is time to have fun before settling down to study and listen to endless lectures. Friends are beginning to move out from their homes and move into their dorm rooms while I stay at home and renovate my own room. If only there were enough hours in a day...my work and leisure could be balanced, but work consumes most of my time.

Road trip home [02 Aug 2005|11:21pm]

Some prefer beach front views, others prefer city scape. There's nothing I love more than a nice view downtown Toronto at my cousins' apartment on the 38th floor close to the Roger's Center, Harbour front, and the CN Tower. Just as the sun begins to set and as dusk approaches; city, building, and even tail lights alluminate the metropolitan area. The view is just spectacular from up there and since I couldn't go to sleep, I sat in front of the windows and stared out thinking about everyone I missed who could be there with me.

Vacation was fun while it lasted. Three weeks wasn't enough time to visit all the places I wanted to or go to special events. I left Toronto this morning for the 10 hour drive back to Indiana. I'm home now. Stress begins all over.
